Where Are You Headed?
Judah Smith
Hebrews 11:13-16; 12:1-2

//

  • We are headed towards eternity.
  • Life is a succession of decisions.
  • Don’t live for the moment. Live in the moment.
  • What’s in front of you is intrinsically connected to what’s ahead of you.
  • While we’re living, let’s prepare to die the right way.
  • We are only here for a brief moment and this is not our home.
  • Live with a priority system.
  • Talk to each other more about Jesus and heaven.
  • The movement of faith is forward. The journey with Jesus is forward.
  • What’s ahead of you is far better than what’s behind you.
  • We should be more committed to what’s ahead than what’s behind us.
  • Your speaking and your thinking shape your desires.
  • Our joy is that we see each other with Him in eternity.
  • You are His joy.
  • Joy is mature when it’s not temporal, it’s eternal.
  • My joy is anchored into eternity.

Easter 2017

Luke 24:1-11

//

  • We are prone to drift from what is truly real.
  • When you let go of stuff, He just opens up doors.
  • If God said it, He will do it.
  • Make plans to encourage one another.
  • The last days will be community days.
  • God invites us into a life that is framed by what He’s done, not by what we have done or what we have not done.

Upon This Rock (Rock And Soul)
Levi Lusko
Psalm 23:1

//

  • Outer stability comes from inner tranquility.
  • Everyone has a shepherd. Your shepherd is whatever you build your life on.
  • Jesus never let anybody down.
  • When you build your soul on the Rock, then all around you can give way but then on Christ you can stand.
  • When you know who He is, you discover who you are.
  • Find your identity not by seeking it but by seeking Him.
  • What you’re not, He is. What you can’t, He can.
  • You’re doubly His. You’re His because He made you. You’re His because He bought you.
  • Because we belong to Him, we always belong with Him.
  • It doesn’t mean that you will always have what you want and it doesn’t mean that you will want all that you have. But it does mean that right now and ever and always, you have what you need.
  • Some things that we are meant to have we’re not ready to have yet.
  • A blessing becomes a burden when you get it out of season.
  • If you have it, it’s because God is going to use it.
  • What do you despise today that the world will be thankful for tomorrow?

All Or Nothing
Levi Lusko
1 Corinthians 15:3-4, 13-19

//

  • If there is no God, there is no hope.
  • If there is no God, life has no meaning.
  • If there is no God, you are not really you.
  • If there is no God, our deepest desires make no sense.
  • In a world governed by natural selection, none of us should care about fair.
  • Hope has a name.
  • Everything matters.
  • You will never not be you.
  • There is an answer for every ache.
  • Don’t choose Jesus because He’s a better option. Choose Him because the Bible says He’s risen.
